4 Killed, 2 Injured In Crash On I-15 In Temecula: Police
Two of the deceased were young teens, police said.
TEMECULA, CA — Four people, including two young teens, were killed Saturday night in a fiery crash on Interstate 15 in Temecula, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol.
The operator of a BMW M4 was driving recklessly while traveling northbound north of Winchester Road and veered left, going over the concrete median will into the southbound lanes, crossing into the slow lane, where it was was struck on the right side by a Nissan Sentra, police said, adding the BMW then went up in flames.

The driver of the BMW, a 25-year-old man from Moreno Valley, was pulled from the driver’s seat by good Samaritans but suffered major injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center, according to police. His passengers, a 23-year-old woman from Moreno Valley and a boy and girl, ages 14 and 15, both from Moreno Valley, all died at the scene, police said.
The Nissan’s driver, a 35-year-old man from Wildomar, died en route to the hospital, and his passenger, a 22-year-old man, was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in critical condition, according to police.

“Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in this collision,” highway patrol said in a news release.
Charges for the BMW driver are pending and witnesses are asked to call police at 951-466-4300, according to authorities.
