Structure Damaged, Vehicles Destroyed In Brush Fire East Of Temecula
The blaze was first reported around 12:12 p.m. Thursday in the area of Howard and Old Ranch roads in Anza.

ANZA, CA — A brush fire that broke out east of Temecula on Thursday scorched 32 acres, destroyed two RVs and two vehicles, and damaged one outbuilding, authorities said.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the blaze, dubbed the Howard Fire, was 40% contained as of 6 p.m. Crews were expected to continue battling it overnight.
The brusher was first reported around 12:12 p.m. in the area of Howard and Old Ranch roads in Anza, two miles north of Highway 371, at the foot of the San Bernardino County National Forest, according to the fire department.

A fire sent up a smoke plume that was visible across Southwest Riverside County.
One-hundred-twenty-two firefighters were on the scene fighting the blaze from the ground and air.
