Body Found Off 15 Freeway In Temecula Was That Of Missing At-Risk Man

A Silver Alert was issued Saturday for the 75-year-old Temecula man.

TEMECULA, CA — A body found Monday morning along Interstate 15 in Temecula was that of a 75-year-old local man who disappeared Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man was found dead shortly after 6 a.m. by construction workers near the westbound Winchester onramp to northbound Interstate 15.

Foul play is not suspected, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Lassig.

On Saturday, a Silver Alert was issued for Jorge Orlando Murillo of Temecula. He was last seen at 8:30 a.m. Friday and was believed to be traveling on foot. He was last seen wearing a blue checkered shirt, a dark jacket and jeans.

The coroner's bureau reported Murillo's body was discovered on the northbound I-15 shoulder, about .66 miles north of the Winchester Road overpass. The coroner will determine his date and cause of death.
