Boy Hit By Car In Temecula, Hospitalized

Sheriff's officials say the boy was riding a bicycle when he was hit.

TEMECULA, CA — A boy was hit by a car in Temecula as he rode his bicycle in town on Friday morning, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department confirms to Patch. The incident happened around 8 a.m. in the area of Meadows Parkway and Corte Illora.

Sheriff's deputies and paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene shortly thereafter.

Sheriff's Deputy Robyn Flores says the boy, whose age was not disclosed, was transported to the hospital as a precaution. He had no visible injuries, but a complaint of pain.

"Although bicycle safety is something that should be observed every day of the year, the month of May is dedicated to encouraging drivers and bicyclists to do their part to help reduce deaths and injuries on California’s roads," the CHP previously said.
