Two Wildfires Break Out In Winchester

The first fire was reported at 4:11 p.m. Sunday.

WINCHESTER, CA -- Firefighters battled two wildfires Sunday in Southwest Riverside. The first fire was reported at 4:11 p.m. near Keller and Pourroy roads in Winchester, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Officials with the Fire Department did not immediately elaborate on the extent of that fire.

A second wildfire was reported at 5:23 p.m. at Domenigoni Parkway X Rice Road. Arriving firefighters said the blaze was five acres.

More than 60 firefighters battled the blaze and contained it by 8 p.m.

The fire is under investigation.
