TEMECULA, CA -- A vegetation fire erupted Saturday afternoon in De Luz, a community west of Temecula. The fire was reported at 3:29 p.m. at Calle Uva and Calle Jardin, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Officials said the fire was about 10 acres as of 5 p.m. As of 8 p.m., the fire was 50 percent contained.
More than 100 firefighters and three helicopters were called to battle the blaze.

No structures were threatened, officials said.
