Brush Fire In Temecula: Investigation Underway

TEMECULA, CA — Firefighters from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department battled a vegetation fire Monday in Temecula.

The fire was reported at 2:55 p.m. near the intersection of Butterfield Stage Road and La Serena Way where firefighters found about five to seven acres of light grass burning.

Air and ground resources were on scene and helped stop the forward progress of the fire by 3:35 p.m. according to the fire department.

Firefighters predicted being on scene for three additional hours for mop up.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
