Cal Fire Battalion Chief Hit While Helping Motorist Near Murrieta
Casey Hartman was assisting a stranded motorist when he was struck on Borel Road. He is in stable condition.

A Cal Fire unit battalion chief was injured Thursday when he was struck by a vehicle while helping a stranded motorist near Murrieta.
Casey Hartman was struck about 4:30 p.m. on Borel Road, said Jody
Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

Hartman was taken to a hospital, which he was in stable condition being
treated for his injuries, Hagemann said.
