Car Crashes 40 Feet Over 371 Near Anza: CHP

ANZA, CA — A vehicle was recovered Wednesday after officials assisted a driver who crashed into a small ditch near Anza.

Responding units responded to the scene at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday after a woman was located on the right hand shoulder of State Route 371 near Anza, according to California Highway Patrol records. The woman, who suffered minor injuries, was shining a light to request assistance.

Her vehicle was found more than 40 feet down from the road, according to CHP records. After calling a towing company Wednesday morning, the vehicle was recovered at around 9 a.m.

CHP records show that no other vehicles were involved in the accident, and there was no suspicion of drugs or alcohol being a factor.
