City Of Temecula Improves Trail Lighting, New Gates For Bike Riders
Temecula prioritizes outdoor living through the addition of solar lights along the Murrieta Creek Trail and enhanced bicycle access.

TEMECULA, CA — The City of Temecula is hard at work improving walking path lighting and bike trail access around town. Most recently, councilmember Zak Schwank has announced the upgrade of a gate that leads into Chaparral High School.
"The new gate enables students to ride their bikes directly to the front of campus," he said in a recent video reel. Parents and students asked for access to the school from the bike path, and the city has responded. More is to come, including bike racks, but for now, the gate was a good start.
Further south in Old Town, the city is continuing to install trail lights along Murrieta Creek on the Old Town Trail, where 27 new solar-powered light poles are being installed along the trail between Moreno Road and First Street.
