In between rainstorms, residents across Southwest Riverside County spotted this glorious double rainbow. Did you see it, too?

TEMECULA, CA — After the rain blew through Riverside County on Tuesday, Temecula resident Norma Marlowe spotted something special outside. Not just a singular rainbow, but a double rainbow stretching wide over the valley.
She snapped a picture of the sight and shared it with Patch, and was selected for our Photo of the Week!

How much rain did we get from this recent storm?
Across Southwest Riverside County, Temecula residents experienced downpours and drizzles during the storm that settled over the region, bringing cooler temperatures and over a half-inch of rainfall since the storm began.

Thus far, our annual rainfall totals for Southwest Riverside County are between 11 inches in Lake Elsinore and 16 inches in Temecula, according to the National Weather Service.
According to the Riverside County Flood Control District, Corona received nearly 1 inch from the recent storm, by far the most in the area across the county. Temecula and Murrieta received a similar amount of rain, at 0.67 inches. Beaumont saw just over a half inch of rain, while Lake Elsinore received roughly a .24 inch of rain from this recent storm.
