Ex-MTV Star Jesse Camp Found Safe In Southern California

Police asked the public to be on the lookout for Jesse Camp, a former MTV VJ, after his sister reported him missing.

RIVERSIDE, CA -- Jesse Camp of "Wanna Be a VJ" fame who was reported missing nearly a week ago was found safe Tuesday, Riverside police said. The 38-year-old musician, whose legal name is Josiah Camp, was reported missing by his sister after she had not heard from him in days.

Camp won the hearts of young Americans in the 1990s when he appeared on the MTV reality show, which catapulted his career in entertainment. He went on to record his first album, Jesse & 8th Street Kids, before appearing in a documentary.

Police said Camp was safe after being found in the region, but didn't specify the exact location of where he was discovered. He did not need any assistance though, police said.
