Explosives Material Found In Loma Linda Home, Arrest Made: Cops
One and a half pounds of Tannerite, a brand of binary explosive targets, were found at the residence, according to the sheriff's department.

LOMA LINDA, CA — A 35-year-old Loma Linda man was behind bars Monday night on suspicion of possessing materials with the intent to make an explosive, as well as making criminal threats, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced.
Shane Aaron Shaffi is due in court Tuesday following his arrest at approximately 10:48 a.m. Saturday at his home in the 25300 block of Cole Street in Loma Linda.
San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies were called to the residence regarding a report of criminal threats involving a firearm.

During the investigation, deputies determined Shaffi threatened to shoot a victim during a verbal altercation, according to the sheriff's department.
The victim's identity was not released.

"Shaffi was detained at the scene, and a records check revealed he had multiple firearms registered in his name," the sheriff's department stated.
A search warrant was obtained for Shaffi’s home, which led to the seizure of several firearms, ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and one and a half pounds of Tannerite, a brand of binary explosive targets, according to the sheriff's department.
Shaffi is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bail bond.
