Fire Damages Business At Temecula Strip Mall

TEMECULA, CA — A fire that erupted Wednesday in a Temecula strip mall damaged a business but was stopped before spreading to adjoining ones.

The non-injury blaze was reported just before 3 p.m. at Palomar Village in the 30600 block of Rancho California Road, near Margarita Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames inside the suite for the School of Rock.

All of the occupants had safely evacuated.

Firefighters deployed to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring properties, gaining the upper hand a short time later.

The fire was declared 100% contained at 3:20 p.m., according to reports from the scene.

Crews were expected to remain at the business, mopping up, until 6 p.m.
