AGUANGA, CA — A fire that erupted Friday in a house on the north end of Aguanga caused significant damage, displacing the occupants, who escaped uninjured.
The blaze was reported just before 6 a.m. in the 40000 block of Sage Road, south of Wilson Valley Road, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered smoke rising from the single-story residence.

Firefighters contained the blaze less than a half-hour later, but damage to the roof of the property was apparently extensive.
Red Cross personnel were requested to assist the three adults residing in the home with finding temporary alternate lodgings.
