Galway Downs Hosting Eventing Championships, Oct. 30-Nov. 3

TEMECULA, CA — Galway Downs at Temecula's outskirts is set for its biggest equestrian competition so far this year.

The Eventing Championships take place Wednesday, Oct. 30, through Sunday, Nov. 3, at the 240-acre venue situated at 38801 Los Corralitos Road near state Route 79 South.

The competition features the Olympic equestrian discipline called Three-Day Eventing, which comprises three phases — dressage, cross-country jumping, and show jumping in an arena.

The championships offer a preview of something bigger: Galway Downs is the proposed site of the 2028 Olympic equestrian and para-equestrian competitions. It's estimated that the Galway Downs proposal will be approved in early 2025.

Until then, horse lovers can head over to Galway and catch the Eventing Championships. Admission is free; parking is $15 per vehicle.
