Health Care Warriors Make Temecula Mom Proud: Local Heroes

We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

TEMECULA, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Name: Bobbi Garrison

Hero's job: Health Care

Relationship to nominee: Daughter

Reason for recognition: She is an ICU/charge nurse. Each shift worked is in the Covid ICU. She has worked many days of overtime and is exhausted. But she still makes time for her two small children and husband who also works in health care. She never complains.

One thing to know: Her compassion for her coworkers and patients.


Name: Richard Vasquez

Home town: Temecula

Hero's job: Health Care

Relationship to nominee: Son

Reason for recognition: He is a security guard in a hospital ER department. He’s very compassionate and caring, and as a foster parent he is very easygoing and caring — like a big teddy bear to everyone he meets. He truly cares about his patients.

One thing to know: Very compassionate and loving to his foster children, his family and his job.


Name: Kristin Ahrens

Home town: Temecula

Hero's job: Health Care

Relationship to nominee: Daughter-in-law

Reason for recognition: She is an x-ray tech/cardiac Cath Lab tech and is going to school for her bachelors, has a 2-year-old daughter and is also a foster parent. She works constantly with a great attitude.

One thing to know: Her caring for her family, foster kids and patients.
