Autumn Heat Advisory Issued For Temecula, Western RivCo

The National Weather Service said the advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. Thursday.

TEMECULA, CA — Hot, dry conditions are expected to ramp up this week in Temecula and across western Riverside County.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the area that's in effect from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. Thursday.

"High temperatures in the Inland Empire will warm into the upper 90s on Wednesday, reaching the 100-degree mark in some locations on Thursday," according to the agency.

In Temecula, the daytime high for both days is 93, while overnight temperatures will dip to the mid-60s, the NWS reported.

The high-pressure system that's bringing the heat will move further east on Friday, while a stronger low-pressure system is expected to develop off of the West Coast Sunday and deepen into Monday.

"This will bring a cooling trend for Friday through early next week," the NWS reported.
