Highway 371 Closes In Aguanga Due To Injury Crash
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the location within a few minutes and found two victims, one with major injuries.
AGUANGA, CA — Two people were injured Tuesday, one seriously, in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 371 in Aguanga, prompting a full closure of the two-lane corridor.
The crash happened at about 2:25 p.m. where the highway meets Lakeshore Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said two vehicles impacted and one overturned, rolling at least once, though no other details were immediately available.

A Reach Air helicopter was requested to transport the victim with life-threatening injuries to a regional trauma center. As of 2:50 p.m., the chopper was en route to retrieve the patent from Lake Riverside Airport, a private strip just north of the highway.

A ground ambulance was requested to pick up the other victim.
CHP officers closed the highway for public safety. However, at least one lane was expected to be available shortly after 3 p.m.
The cause of the collision was not immediately known.
