'History Hootenany:' Temecula's 2nd Annual History Day

Residents are invited to come out to Old Town Temecula to play games, mine for fossils and enjoy free kettle corn.

TEMECULA, CA — For the second year in a row, Temecula residents are invited to come out and celebrate the town's rich history on Saturday.

Temecula History Day will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sam Hicks Monument Park.

"Celebrate the legends and pioneers of Temecula at the second annual Temecula History Day," the city said. "Transport back in time as you learn the history of Temecula with games, demonstrations, music, and more. You don’t want to miss this history hootenanny."

Activities include historical-themed games, a photo opportunity with the Temecula Carriage Company, free gemstones and fossil mining with the Old Town Temecula Mining Co.

Plus, the first 150 attendees will get free kettle corn and lemonade.

The festivities will be held at 41970 Moreno Road in Old Town Temecula.
