House Fire Ignites Near Benton, Pourroy Roads Overnight

MURRIETA, CA — A French Valley home caught fire Monday evening, drawing firefighters to smother the blaze, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department shared.

Just after 7:30 p.m., firefighters arrived in unincorporated Murrieta, near the 36300 block of Trona Way, near Pourroy Road and Benton Road.

Firefighters battled an active garage fire upon their arrival and quickly contained it to that portion of the home.

No injuries were reported, and it was unclear if the Red Cross was called to assist the residents. The cause of the blaze was not yet determined.
