Injured Pair Hoisted To Safety At Vail Lake
After both people were rescued by helicopter, they were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Two injured people were rescued by helicopter near Vail Lake Friday morning.
At approximately 9 a.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews were called to a location just east of Vail Lake regarding the injured pair.
The area is remote and it's unclear what the two were doing at the time they got hurt.

Because the area is inaccessible, a Riverside County Sheriff's Department helicopter was summoned to hoist the duo from the area.
The two were flown to a landing zone in Vail Lake where firefighter paramedics evaluated them. One person was suffering moderate injuries, the other minor, according to the fire department.
