Krispy Kreme Store Coming To Temecula, Again
The doughnut company and coffeehouse chain is planning to open shop at the now-closed Yellow Basket location on Winchester Road.

TEMECULA, CA — News is out that a Krispy Kreme store is returning to Temecula — and it's a little like musical chairs for those keeping an eye on fast food restaurants in the city.
The North Carolina-headquartered doughnut company and coffeehouse chain is planning to open shop at the now-closed Yellow Basket location at 40575 Winchester Road, across the street from the Promenade Temecula mall.
"Krispy Kreme has formally submitted applications to occupy the former Yellow Basket location on Winchester Rd. ... Stay tuned for more updates," the city announced late last week on social media.

When it does begin welcoming doughnut lovers, the Temecula Krispy Kreme will be just the fifth Inland Empire store for the company. The cities of Menifee, Ontario, Rancho Mirage and Victorville each have one.
Krispy Kreme's history stretches back to the 1930s and the business has survived the Great Depression, mergers, sales, private and public ownerships, an accounting scandal, a cease-and-desist by the SEC, health-conscious consumers and a COVID-19 shutdown. Today, the company operates globally and has launched a slew of new products.
