Large De Luz Home Destroyed By Fire
Early Monday, a De Luz resident fled their home when it caught fire. Here's what we know.

DE LUZ, CA — A De Luz resident was displaced after their single-story home caught fire Sunday night, off Pajaro and Carancho Roads.
Firefighters rushed to the 24600 block of Pajaro Road shortly after 8 p.m., near the San Diego and Riverside County border. Smoke and flames were visible coming from the large home when they arrived, and the resident had evacuated the building. There was no mention of other residents or pets at the time of the firefight.
As of 9 p.m., they had fully contained the fire; however, the primary living area was determined to be unlivable, according to the Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire Department.

Crews remained at the scene for about 4 hours, and utility crews also arrived at the scene.
No injuries have been reported, and investigators have yet to reveal the cause of the house fire.

Immediate reports indicated the home was a two-story residence; however, firefighters confirmed it was a one-story residence.
De Luz is a rural, unincorporated community in a mountainous section of northern San Diego County bordering on Temecula, in Riverside County.
