Margarita Road Emergency Closure After Water Mainline Ruptures
Rancho Water is at work on the scene of a massive repair on Margarita Road near Harveston in Temecula.

TEMECULA, CA — Margarita Road southbound from Harveston Way through Winchester Road was under an emergency mainline repair, according to a spokesperson from Rancho Water.
The closure, which began at roughly 6 p.m. Monday, would last until about 2 p.m. Tuesday due to the repair of the water line, resurfacing of the road, and testing, according to Rancho Water.
Drivers should avoid the area, seeking alternate routes until at least 2 p.m. Tuesday, they said.

- Completing the repair
- Recharging the pipeline
- Flushing the pipeline
- Reopening the road.
The repair is the longest part of this process, taking between 2 and 12 hours, while the following stages should take no longer than three hours each, according to Rancho Water.
