Multiple Shots Fired In Neighborhood Near Murrieta, Temecula Line

TEMECULA, CA — A shooting Sunday night in a residential neighborhood near Murrieta, Temecula city limits is under investigation with no suspects in custody, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The gunfire in the 27000 block of Sierra Madre Drive was reported to authorities around 9 p.m., according to Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez.

A Ring video system in the area captured what sounded like multiple rounds of shots fired. The video is timestamped at 8:56 p.m.

No victims or suspects were located, according to the sergeant.

There was no word on what type of weapon was fired and whether area homes or structures were damaged by the rounds.

"This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available," the sergeant said.
