Taught at Margarita Middle School for 20 years. Drives 70 miles daily from his home in Escondido, Ca, demonstrating his passion and commitment to his students and the community it serves. Former student, Giselle Riley, a 2024 graduate of Trine University School of Education, (Angola, Indians) I was selected to receive the prestigious “Senior Future Educator Award”. When asked who inspired her to pursue a career in education, she named Mr. Jesus Aguilera, her middle school teacher and mentor. This is only one of Mr. Aguilera’s positive influence on the hundreds of students that have passed through his classroom over the past 20 years. I am sure there are many, many more we are unaware of. Hopefully, Ms. Riley will continue her career as an elementary school teacher. In her home time of Temecula, Ca.
