Pro Soccer Returns To Temecula: FC Quails Play Home Match Saturday
Howay the Quails! Pro-soccer is back in Temecula with a team shooting towards big goals in the National Independent Soccer Association.

TEMECULA, CA — Howay the Quails! The Temecula FC is at a turning point as it transitions from over a decade of building a strong amateur foundation into launching Riverside County’s first professional soccer club.
Patch spoke with Madison Jantz, the new marketing manager of the club and the daughter of its founder, Brandon Jantz, about the fall season and what's in store for the growing team.
A match is scheduled for Saturday at Chaparral High School, located at 27215 Nicolas Rd, Temecula. Tickets start at $7 for the 5 p.m. game. Team merchandise will be available at the game, which is an excellent opportunity for young soccer players to get a picture of what's next after club soccer days are done.

"We’re fresh off an incredible run in local and regional competitions and are now preparing for our first taste of professional play this Fall through the NISA Pro Cup.
"In the past, youth development has not been our primary focus, but that is changing. We are now fully committed to building and strengthening a comprehensive youth program — creating a clear pathway for local players to develop within our club, progress through our academy, and ultimately transition into the professional team. Our youth coaches are seeing new players every week, and we anticipate the program will experience significant growth and strengthening over the next 6–8 months as we expand training, outreach, and development opportunities," Madison Jantz told Patch.

This Fall, Temecula FC will compete in a hybrid schedule — featuring amateur league play (including the Raul Briones Cup) and the NISA Pro Cup — which marks our first step toward the fully professional 2026 season. This period will serve as a bridge, allowing us to integrate new talent, prepare our infrastructure, and engage fans with meaningful competitions leading into our professional debut.
At the same time, we’re building momentum with our youth program — welcoming new players weekly and laying the foundation for long-term growth that aligns with the professional pathway.
Who is on the team?
The squad is anchored by several returning players who have been with the club through key stages of our growth, according to Jantz. Notable players include Noah Mabra, Alberto Renteria, and Joshua Piñones, who all played key roles over the last season.
"At the same time, the roster is wide open — this Fall is an opportunity for all players to make their mark as we prepare for the NISA Pro Cup and the 2026 professional season," she said.
The team will integrate promising young players into the first-team environment where possible, she said.
Who are coaches?
The first team is led by Head Coach John Oliver, who brings professional experience from his coaching background in the UK. He is joined by Assistant Coach Aaron Sahota (London, England), who adds valuable European insight, and local Assistant Coach Alex Pimentel, who brings a deep understanding of the Temecula soccer community and player development in the Valley. Together, they form a staff committed to raising training standards and preparing the squad for professional competition.
What are the coaches most looking forward to?
"Coach Oliver and the staff are most excited about building continuity — blending experienced returners with incoming players, raising training standards, and preparing for the heightened competition of the Pro Cup," she said. "They’re especially eager to test the group against professional opponents and set benchmarks for 2026."

Additionally, they see this fall as an opportunity to strengthen the bridge between our youth program and the first team, ensuring local players have a visible pathway to professional soccer.
What is owner Brandon Jantz most looking forward to in the coming season?
"I’m most excited to see Riverside County rally around its first professional soccer team. Having a professional soccer team here in Temecula is something I personally dreamed of as a youth player, and I’m thrilled to now be in a position to help make that dream a reality for the next generation.
This opportunity isn’t just for the players — it gives football supporters across the Valley a local team they can truly get behind," Brandon Jantz said.
"It’s exciting to think about how we can grow a large supporters group that helps us bring in top players to compete at the highest level, including the U.S. Open Cup in 2026 where we could potentially face clubs like LA Galaxy, LAFC, or San Diego FC. Can you imagine being just a few games away from hosting one of those matches right here in Temecula?"
Where are games being played, and what is the schedule?
Home matches this Fall will be played at Chaparral High School in Temecula—additional league and Pro Cup fixtures to be announced shortly. Full schedules will be shared across all club channels once finalized.
