AGUANGA, CA — Emergency crews were attempting to rescue an injured horse rider in a remote area east of Temecula Sunday.

The injury was reported at around 11:35 a.m. near Sandstone and Gemstone roads in the unincorporated community of Aguanga, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The extent of the rider's injuries was not immediately available.
