See, Hear Fireworks In Temecula On New Year's Eve? How To Report Them

TEMECULA, CA—As New Year's Eve turns into New Year's Day in 2025, some revelers in Riverside County may set off fireworks in celebration. According to Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Cal Fire Riverside County Fire Department officials, this activity is illegal and dangerous.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department has revived its fireworks tipline to assist residents with quickly responding to flammable fireworks.

"Use this form to submit fireworks reports," they say. "DO NOT use this form if you are reporting an emergency. For emergencies, dial 911."

When reporting, if you cannot provide an exact location, you may provide two cross streets to the general area for deputies to check, they advise.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office will only respond to reports within its jurisdiction, which does not include Banning, Beaumont, Blythe, Cathedral City, Corona, Desert Hot Springs, Hemet, Indio, Menifee, Murrieta, Palm Springs, or the city of Riverside.
