Seriously Injured Motorist Extricated From I-15 Crash In Temecula
According to preliminary CHP information, a pickup truck driver went off the freeway's righthand shoulder at about 70 mph and hit a tree.

TEMECULA, CA — A solo-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 15 in Temecula left one person with serious injuries.
The wreck involving a white pickup truck was reported at approximately 1 p.m. on southbound I-15 near Rancho California Road.
According to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol, the truck driver went off the freeway's righthand shoulder at about 70 mph and struck a tree.

One person had to be extricated from the wreckage by Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. The victim was sent to a local hospital via ground ambulance. No other injuries were reported.
Firefighters had to cut a hole in a freeway fence to better access the wreckage and Caltrans was being notified.

As of 2 p.m., traffic appeared to be moving in the area.
The cause of the crash will be under investigation by the CHP.
