Sheriff's Helicopter Over Temecula: Missing Person Found

TEMECULA, CA — A Riverside County Sheriff's Department helicopter circling over Temecula Tuesday afternoon was searching for a missing person who was found, the law enforcement agency confirmed.

Shortly after 2 p.m., the chopper was heard and seen buzzing over the Paseo del Sol community at the city's southern end.

A message could be heard that sounded as if deputies were searching for a missing person, according to one witness.

"The helicopter was up assisting with a missing person who has been located," Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez confirmed at 2:47 p.m.
