Spa Pechanga Opens To Residents And Guests
If your New Year's resolution is to take better care of yourself, we found the perfect place to do it: Spa Pechanga Resort Casino.

TEMECULA, CA — Spa Pechanga is now taking reservations from both hotel guests and area residents aged 21 and up. The spa has upgraded its platform to take reservations from anyone interested in massage. These facial and nail treatments focus on Native botanicals used for centuries by ancestors of the Pechanga Band of Mission Indians.
Non-resort guests can pay for "day use" of the spa or book a treatment that includes day use privileges, according to a recent release. Amenities include the workout facility, men's or women's lounge, steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool, spa pool, relaxation room, outdoor relaxation deck, complimentary healthy snacks, teas, and infused waters for $75.
The two-level luxury spa embraces the history of the tribe, drawing inspiration from the Pechanga Great Oak Tree, the spirit of which the Pechanga Tribe has integrated into its resort. The spa opened in 2018 as part of the resort casino's latest expansion. The spa's design is elegant yet understated and the history of the Pechanga is unmistakable.

Myra Masiel, the Pechanga cultural curator and archeologist, was involved in helping to combine the past and the present with the spa.
“Our world moves so incredibly fast," Masiel said. "Guests actively seek out a way to slow down and relax, and that includes allowing their spirits and their minds to relax as well."

Once inside the spa, hear the sounds Tribal people would have encountered on a trek from the Southern California ocean to the area now the Pechanga reservation. The background music, recorded by Pechanga's Creative Studios team, allows guests to relax to the sound of crashing ocean waves, babbling creeks, a crackling campfire, and wind through trees, among other things.
The spa treatments also incorporate botanicals found in the Temecula region, like sage, prickly pear, and lavender grown nearby.
Guests can schedule special treatments along with day use of the spa.
In December, we loved the sound of the Toasty Marshmallow Massage for up to $185. It was listed as a "dreamy massage" where Chai spice and vanilla oil are worked into tired muscles, followed by a hand and foot marshmallow balm and a visit to the hot chocolate bar as you relax afterward.

January's spa menu specials include:
- Lunar New Year Clementine Dream Scrub + Mini Massage – Sweet cream salt scrub polishes dry skin, followed by a relaxing massage.
- Winter Warm-Up Massage – Warming agave nectar oil, hot stones & hot towel wraps melt away stress and tension in this indulgent massage.
- Wellness Facial – With a bio-cellulose mask from GM Collin, this full-service facial works against under-eye circles and renews skin for a fresh glow.
- Winter Warm-Up Pedicure – Feet need love in the winter, too. Exfoliate and revive tired feet and toes.
Each treatment includes Native botanicals and promises pampering and rejuvenation in the perfect post-holiday treat.
Spa Pechanga's manager Rachel Patane discussed the new offering and what it can do for locals.
"Spa Pechanga is a place of tranquility and well-being," Patane said. "We are happy to be able to offer (services) to all visitors and residents of the Temecula Valley, so they may truly know the healing powers and health benefits that come with reduced stress and tension."
