TEMECULA, CA — In Bloom Bookery and Patch.com have pitched in to launch your summer reading with a free giveaway for Patch readers. The specialty romance bookstore has generously donated books, a bag, and a few extras for Patch readers. The winner will receive:

Inside, you’ll find everything from women’s fiction to fantasy, science fiction, and suspense, as well as a large young adult section featuring single titles and favorite tried-and-true series.

The shop opened this spring, with lines out the door and has seen a steady stream of shoppers ever since. Owner Katie Mullin has shared her list of summer favorites, as well as what a prepared reader should include in their beach bag with Patch.

Mullin suggests that beach bags be filled with poolside paperbacks, sunscreen, a Bluetooth speaker, and, of course, a book-themed Stanley mug. All are available at her shop.

If you're reading a paperback, you'll need a bookmark, and possibly highlighter pens and Post-it Notes for note-taking for your book club, all available among the giftable items at her bookstore.
We both agreed that the books for this summer should help us escape. The romantic-comedy genre is playing big this year, matched with a tale that tugs at the heartstrings. Regardless of which book you choose, she suggests looking for a summer read that is fun, engaging, and sweeps the reader away with the splash of waves.
