Temecula Brewer, Local Farmer Team Up to Make Green Hop Beer

How about a little history with your beer?

That is what you will get when you stop by Ironfire Brewing Company in Temecula—just make sure you ask for the Crazy Horse Ranch green-hop beer.

Rick Adinolfi, owner and proprietor of the Crazy Horse Ranch in De Luz, is growing hops he found in Julian, which is where the historical value comes in.

About an hour’s drive east of Temecula, Julian became home to a brewery in the late 1800s. Chances are, the same hop—said to originally come from Indiana, brought by ex-Confederate soldiers during the Julian gold rush of 1869—was used in that very brewery.  (The brewery later become a blacksmith shop and is now home to the Julian Pioneer Museum.)

So if you’d like to try the brew flavored by Adinolfi’s Crazy Horse hops, get to Ironfire's tasting room at 42095 Zevo Drive, Suite 1, in Temecula, soon as only limited quantities were brewed.
