If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Levette Whitlock who nominated Chris Beck of Temecula.

What makes your dad extra special?

The dad is my brother-in-law and he is one the best dads ever! He spends every waking moment with his 2-year-old son! He runs around the house with him for hours on end, stays up all night with him whenever he is sick and he never complains at all! He is a first-time dad and you'd never know it because he just naturally is built to be a father.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

My brother deserves the spotlight because he needs to know how appreciated his hard work is. He is a former Marine, but being able to be his 2-year-old son's best friend is so admirable and worth telling people all about!
