TEMECULA, CA — Firefighters over the weekend contained a fire at a home in the Temecula area, the Riverside County Fire Department reports. The blaze was reported at 3:57 a.m. Saturday in the 39000 block of Calle Contento, near Rancho California and Butterfield Stage roads.
Five engines and 26 firefighters responded to the so-called Vino Incident and found the single-story home had "light smoke from the attic and a working fire," the fire department said.
Crews contained the fire at 4:43 a.m. and remained at the scene about an hour longer for overhaul, officials said.
