Temecula Felon Arrested In Long Beach Man's Slaying
Detectives believe an argument between two men escalated when the Temecula convict shot and killed the victim last week in Long Beach.

TEMECULA, CA — Detectives from Long Beach arrested a Temecula convict this week in connection to the shooting death of a 28-year-old man in Long Beach.
Through investigation of the May 8 incident, authorities identified 29-year-old Xabian Che Brown as the suspect.
Brown was arrested May 15 in Temecula and booked on suspicion of murder as well as being a convicted felon in possession of a gun and ammunition.

On the night of the shooting, the Long Beach Police Department responded to the 800 block of Atlantic Avenue and discovered the victim, Tyrone Parks, with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to render medical aid, Parks died at the scene, police said.
Detectives determined that Parks and Brown were familiar with each other and had argued before the shooting occurred. An exact motive for the crime was still under investigation.

Brown's bail was set at $2 million, and detectives will present the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for consideration of formal charges.
