Temecula Military Academy Prospective Applicants Urged To Apply Soon
College-bound Temecula Valley student seeking entry into one of the nation's federal military academies should contact representatives ASAP.
TEMECULA VALLEY, CA — College-bound Temecula Valley residents who have an interest in attending one of the nation's federal military academies were urged Monday to submit applications to the office of Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Temecula, for consideration.
The deadline for submission is Oct. 20, and any pending or recent high school graduate who resides in Issa's 48th congressional district is invited to file an application.
"It is a great privilege to have the opportunity every year to nominate talented young men and women to the U.S. military service academies," Issa said. "These students have stepped forward and answered the call to service. I have no doubt they represent America's next great generation of leaders."

Congressional representatives each year are permitted to nominate 10 prospects to attend four of the five service academies, which are the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, the Naval Academy and the Army's West Point.
The Coast Guard Academy does not require a nomination, only an application.
