Temecula: Need A New Oil Filter? How To Get One For Free
The Western Riverside Council of Governments and AutoZone Temecula will replace your car's oil filter for free this weekend. What to know.

TEMECULA, CA — If you live in Temecula and your car is in need of a new oil filter, residents can get one for free this weekend.
The Western Riverside Council of Governments and AutoZone Temecula are partnering for one day on Dec. 7 to collect used oil and filters and replace them with new ones. The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at AutoZone Autoparts (31837 S. Hwy 79 #A).
"Let’s do our part to reduce the improper disposal of used motor oil, which can contaminate our water and the environment," the city said in a Facebook post.

Here's how to participate:
- Visit Temecula.UsedOilRecycling.info to claim up to two free oil filter vouchers.
- Drain and collect up to five gallons of used motor oil in a plastic container.
- Bring your email voucher, plastic container of used motor oil, and up to 2 used oil filters in exchange for 2 free oil filters of equal or lesser value, which cannot exceed $15.
