Temecula Man Charged With Murder In Josheroo Court Shooting

TEMECULA, CA — A man accused of fatally shooting a 39-year-old Temecula resident was charged Wednesday with murder and other offenses.

Micah Chazz Harris, 22, of Temecula is accused of gunning down Aaron Bowers early Saturday at a home in the 32900 block of Josheroo Court, just south of Highway 79, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Harris was charged with murder and sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations. He was being held in lieu of $1 million bail at Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.

Harris called authorities to report the fatal shooting, Sgt. Jarred Bishop said. They arrived at the Josheroo Court residence shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday to find Bowers dead inside the house.

"(Harris) advised that he had just shot another adult male inside the residence," Bishop said. "Deputies arrived on the scene and detained Harris. Several other additional individuals were located at the residence. Deputies checked the interior and located (the victim)."

The identities of the other people inside the home were not disclosed, he said. They were questioned but not arrested.
