Temecula Valley VFW Post to Host Unveiling of 'Remembering our Fallen' Memorial
The memorial is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by more than 700 military heroes in California.

From City of Temecula:
On Oct. 8 at 9 a.m., the Veterans of Foreign Wars - Temecula Valley VFW Post 4089 will host the unveiling of a very emotional memorial “Remembering Our Fallen,” a stark reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by over 700 fallen military heroes from California. The men and women displayed on this 230-foot long memorial wore our country’s uniform proudly and made the ultimate sacrifice; being killed in the line of duty while fighting the war on terror. Co-sponsored by VFW Post 4089, the City of Temecula and Promenade Temecula, the photo memorial includes military and personal photos of each of the fallen from California and is traveling throughout the state. The moving memorial will remain at the Promenade Temecula mall until Oct. 14.
Temecula Council Member Jeff Comerchero, a veteran and member of the city’s Military Subcommittee noted, “May we never forget the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.”

Comerchero added, “Hosting this memorial at the Promenade Temecula is quite relevant to those who are out enjoying their daily lives, as I imagine they will slow down to respect and appreciate the significance of their freedom made possible by those depicted on this memorial.”
Temecula Council Member Michael McCracken, also a veteran and member of the City’s Military Ad-
Hoc Subcommittee concurred, “This moving memorial is a touching reminder of the many brave military heroes who lost their lives to protect us all.” McCracken added, “The Remembering Our Fallen Memorial is also a tribute to the families left behind and we respectfully and sincerely thank them all.”
