Temecula Wins Gold at International Festivals and Events Annual Convention
The 2016 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival won four awards, three gold pinnacles and one silver.
The 2016 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival struck solid gold once again at the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) during the IFEA Annual Convention & Expo on September 26th. Coming home with four awards - three Gold Pinnacles (top honors) and one silver, the 2016 Festival proved once again that this event is BIG on promotion and utilizing technology to communicate with their fans.
Gold Pinnacle awards, (top honors) went to the 2016 Festival media relations campaign, digital marketing campaign, and the 2016 media kit. The Festival's newly designed website won a Silver awards.

The Festival competed against events like the Sausalito Arts Festival, Denver's Comicon, Indiana's Music for All, and Cherry Creek Art Festival. Festivals from around the world compete according to the event's total annual budget. The Festival competes in the $750,000-$1.5 million category. Events with over a $1.5 million budget compete in their own category and include the Kentucky Derby Festival, Indianapolis 500 Festival, Des Moines Arts Festival and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses.
The website, TVBWF.COM, created and managed by Conveyor Group, was completely retooled for speed and ease of access with the mobile world. Combined with the digital marketing campaign, this resulted in a dramatic increase of pre-sale online ticket sales: daily admission tickets increased by 130% and beverage tickets by 240%.

Melody’s Ad Works, Inc. of Wildomar, the Festival’s public relations firm, created the award- winning media relations campaign, digital marketing campaign, and press kit. This is the fourth straight year that the Festival has won best media relations and best press kit. Judging is based upon measured results which include advertising equivalent value of the campaign, percentage of the target audience captured in ticket sales, and return on investment for the event by increased revenue. Melody's Ad Works, Inc. has created the program all four years.
The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival has won 34 IFEA Awards since 2009 and competes against the world's top festivals and events. Awards were handed out in 69 different categories in total including Best TV Promotion, Event Program, Commemorative Poster, Overall Sponsorship Program, Environmental Program, Media Relations Campaign, and Festival and Event Management Degree Programs.
