Temecula's I-15 On-Ramp Closure Announced: What To Know

A month-long Winchester Road on-ramp is starting this weekend. Drivers should seek alternate routes.

TEMECULA, CA — A long-term closure of the Winchester Road onramp to I-15 northbound was slated to begin Sunday night, the City of Temecula announced.

The city said the onramp closure will last about one month and begin Sunday at 9 p.m. According to a sign posted in the area, the hard closure will begin at 10 p.m. on Sunday and last until 6 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14.

"Along with this ramp closure, contractors will be installing traffic control barriers and striping, resulting in the following nighttime closures:

Sunday, Jan. 12:

  • 9 PM: Begin month-long, FULL Closure of NB on-ramp at Winchester Rd (straight ramp near Starbucks).
  • 10 PM - 6 AM: NB I-15 alternating lane closures (minimum 1 lane open).
  • 10 PM - 6 AM: Full Closure of NB on-ramp at Winchester Rd (loop ramp- reopens at 6 AM).
