Temecula's Outback Steakhouse Closes This Week: What To Know
The Outback Steakhouse off Winchester Road will close when they run out of food or by Sunday, Jan. 19, whichever comes first.

TEMECULA, CA — It's time to go farther afield if you want your Bloomin' Onion. Temecula's Outback Steakhouse Restaurant at 40275 Winchester Road is closing, the restaurant chain confirmed this week.
The once-popular Aussie-themed restaurant will close up shop by Sunday, a restaurant manager has said, as employees decide whether to relocate to alternate locations or look for other employment.
"We're still serving, at least through Jan. 19," a manager told Patch. "We're open until we run out of product. That could be as early as Friday or as late as Sunday."

The decision to close up shop in Temecula came after considering "a variety of factors," according to Nation's Restaurant News.
Temecula's is one of 688 Outback Steakhouses in the United States that was chosen for shuttering. In addition to Outback, the Bloomin' Brands restaurants include Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, and Aussie Grill.

"Closing a restaurant is never easy. This was a business decision that was not a reflection of the management or staff. Some employees will have the opportunity to transfer. Those who do not will receive a severance package. We appreciate the community’s support over the past 35 years and hope to see guests at our [Lakewood] Ranch and Venice locations,” the company said in a released statement obtained by Patch
Outback Steakhouse in Temecula has offered employment opportunities for its workers.
"Many will be transferred to other Outback Steakhouse locations near Ontario or San Bernardino," the store manager said. "Others are shifting down to the Poway and San Marcos locations. Three or four are seeking employment elsewhere.
