Toddler Dies After Being Found In Temecula Neighbor's Pool: Police

TEMECULA, CA — A toddler died after she was found in a neighbor's pool Saturday, according to police.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded around 5 p.m. to the 30000 block of Wellington Circle where a person said they had lost sight of their toddler a few minutes earlier and couldn't find the girl, police said. Several minutes later, deputies located the child unresponsive in the pool.

The girl was given medical aid and taken to a hospital, but later died, according to police, who said the incident remained under investigation by the coroner's bureau.
