TVUSD Combats Bullying: Hosts Kindness Week, Parent Class
Plus, schools are hosting activities and programs related to bullying prevention.
TEMECULA, CA — October is National Bullying Prevention Month, meant to bring attention to the bullying problem and involve people nationwide in a conversation on how to create a world safe from bullying.
Temecula Valley Unified School District is among many across the nation working hard to address this issue. Among the things planned in TVUSD is a "parent university" course aimed at addressing how to identify bullying, according to district officials. That's set for Oct. 24 at the district offices.
What's more, while some counselors head to an anti-bullying conference, some students are planning a forum at Temecula Valley High School.

"At the site level the ASB, peer leaders, and other groups supplement Kindness Week with Anti-Bullying messages and materials," district officials said in an email to Patch. "Across the district there are Anti Bullying banners, messaging, and site initiatives that can be shared by their administration."
The district always encourages a "if you see something, say something" policy when it comes to bullying, as well. Bullying behavior can be reported online here.
