UC Riverside Hosting Open House In Palm Desert

All local high school students, parents, teachers, counselors, and others are invited to the free event at the UCR Palm Desert Center.

PALM DESERT, CA — The University of California, Riverside will be hosting its only Coachella Valley open house during a special event next month at the UCR Palm Desert Center, 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive.

The free event takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14. All local high school students, parents,
teachers, counselors and others are invited.

During the open house, visitors can meet with UCR’s schools and colleges; learn about UC’s
admission requirements, application process, and financial aid options; connect with student
success resources and campus organizations; and explore credentials, certificates, and custom
training programs. There will also be brief presentations and Q&A sessions.

“We are thrilled to show Coachella Valley students the many educational opportunities available
to them through UCR,” said Agam Patel, executive director of UCR Palm Desert Center. “It’s our
goal to inspire the next generation of changemakers.”
