Brush Fire That Broke Out East Of Temecula Now 90 Percent Contained
The blaze — dubbed the Vail Fire — was first reported at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A vegetation fire burning northeast of Temecula Saturday was 90 percent contained by 6:51 p.m., according to CAL Fire officials.
The blaze — dubbed the Vail Fire — was first reported at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and was burning near Vail Lake Dam, north of Highway 79S, CAL Fire said.
By noon, the fire had burned 55 acres and was at 25 percent containment.

According to officials, the fire is located in a canyon in a remote area that is difficult to access. The blaze is also burning at a moderate rate of spread amid scorching heat.
"Fire resources continue building containment lines and mopping up hot spots," CAL Fire said at 12:30 p.m.

Currently, 196 personnel are assigned to the fire, including 24 engines, three helicopters and four hand crews. Additional engines have been requested, officials said.
No evacuations had been ordered as of 7 p.m. Saturday.
