TEMECULA, CA — A Homeland man was behind bars this week after a lengthy Southwest Sheriff's Station investigation revealed his ties to illegal weapons sales across Southwest Riverside County, officials say.

Brandon Edwards, 38, was charged Wednesday with multiple felony charges related to carrying and possessing loaded firearms and other weapons, according to jail records. He was being held at the Southwest Detention Center without bail, with a court date of July 25 at the Murrieta Southwest Justice Center.

On June 8, just after 8 a.m., Southwest Sheriff’s Station deputies located a stolen vehicle in the area of Glenoaks Road and Pratt Road in Temecula, according to Sgt. Kory Murphy.

"On July 16, 2025, they served a search warrant at Edwards’ property in the 25000 block of Rocky Ridge Road, Homeland," he said. There, deputies found dozens of illegal firearms, ammunition, explosive-making materials, and homemade improvised devices that were in the process of being assembled.
